Greetings!

I am a clinical and research psychologist and an advisor in psychedelic medicine and alternative healthcare. My mission is to create safe and sacred settings for working with psychedelic medicines and holistic therapies for healing and spiritual growth.

My experience spans healthcare innovation, medical psychology, neuropsychology, psychotherapy, alternative therapies, psychedelic-assisted therapies, and spiritual direction.

I work with and advise healthcare and biotech companies, non-profits, universities, clinics, retreat centers, legislative initiatives, and investment groups at the forefront of innovation in psychedelics/ plant medicines and novel therapeutics, some of which include:

Past:

I have advised psychedelic state initiatives in Kentucky, Texas, and Ohio, taught courses at the Stanford d.school, VA Hospitals, and medical schools, and spoke at international events such as the Goals House at WEF/ Davos, and Necker Island

2015-2017 - Director and CEO at Crossroads Treatment Center in Mexico, a psychedelic treatment center specializing in ibogaine and 5-MeO-DMT. Presented novel observational research on 5-MeO-DMT and ibogaine, brain imaging data, and developed guidelines for 5-MeO-DMT administration.

2016-2019 - Co-investigator phase 2 trials of MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy for PTSD sponsored by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS).

2015 - 2025 - Led psychedelic retreats worldwide through Psychedelic Journeys with my partner and co-founder, Tricia Eastman.

Influences: Sensorimotor PsychotherapyAccelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, spiritual psychology, archetypal and transpersonal psychology, and divination practices. Student of the African spiritual tradition called ‘Bwiti’ (which utilizes the iboga plant as its sacrament) and a student in the Ministry Program at the Center for Sacred Studies.

Education: Master’s degree and PhD in clinical psychology with an emphasis in neuropsychology from the Fuller Graduate School of Psychology. Master’s degree in Spiritual Theology from the Fuller Theological Seminary. Advanced training in neuropsychology at the University of Southern California (USC), UCLA, and the West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital. Postdoctoral research fellowship at the West Los Angeles Veterans Hospital in brain aging. My research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
